Through creative practice research, that is academic research driven by artistic and designerly methods, I practice architecture as a creative tool for figuring ourselves out and constructing ourselves differently. My traditional and nontraditional research output ranges across diverse media and milieus.

Presently, my research starts from  an interest in the correspondence between non-Western spatial practices and recent findings in the cognitive sciences that emphasize the empathic-animistic nature of our experience of architectural spaces.  Departing from the hypothesis of the embodied, enactive, extended, embedded and affective approach to cognition, I study the realm of subtle realities that emerges from the reciprocity between organism and (built) environment.
